Fake Tree of Hope leaflets being distributed by Bogus collectors in parts of London and Kent

Dear all, please do not donate anything if you have received LEAFLETS claiming to be from Tree of Hope charity.
Please note that SOS Clothes Ltd only distributes genuine Tree of Hope charity BAGS but SOS Clothes Ltd does not distribute leaflets any more.
It has been brought to our attention that bogus collectors are distributing replicated(fake) Tree of Hope charity leaflets in the London Metropolitan District (Postcodes SW8-SW9-SE1-SE8-E8-E10-E14-E16-N7-N16) and more recently in the Maidstone ME10 postcode area.
If you think that you have received a fake leaflet or if in doubt about the validity of a charitable collection then please contact SOS Clothes Ltd immediately on 01708685073, alternately you can contact the Police on 101 and also report to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.

Note: Please note that leaflets and charity bags are usually distributed to households a couple of days before the intended collection day; the collection day will be specified on the bag or leaflet. The collection day is the day when the bogus collectors return to collect your donations(often in the very early hours of the morning...) who then go on to sell them for profit. If you are in doubt about the validity of a Tree of Hope charitable collection then please do not hesitate to contact us as soon as you have received the suspect leaflet or bag (before the collection day mentioned on the leaflet or bag); this will give us a better chance of catching bogus collectors in the act on the collection day.

Never approach a suspected bogus collector directly; contact us immediately to verify their validity or alternately contact the Police.

If you suspect that someone is operating illegally then please note down as many details as you can (vehicle registration number, description of individual) and call us.

Thank you for your continued support!
